Gaming soundstage: I’m no audiophile but am impressed by the directional abilities both with Dolby Atmos on XSX and 3D Audio on PS5 With that in mind, here are my thoughts:Įase of use: Worked flawlessly between my XSX, PS5, Switch and MacĬomfort: Headband works well and cups are soft (note: my ears were a bit hot to begin with but that’s more about me) I was looking for the best all-in-one headphones for gaming and general use and ultimately was won over by a bunch of web and YouTube reviews praising compatibility, sound and comfort. It appears the issue was indeed interference on the 2.4 GHz band.I picked up the Arctis 7x on the weekend. Moving the transmitter ~2/3 meters away from the original location (directly below the router) appears to have resolved all issues other than the echo when using the sidetone. They work fine when plugged in, but if it’s a hardware problem I need to return them or Steelseries needs to make this right! I’m happy to wait for a software update if that’s all that’s needed. Steelseries support blamed my particular XSX, but given others are having similar issues and they advertise as compatible with XSX I’m calling BS. I got two sets of these headphones and same problem with each of them. How can influencers possibly be recommending these?! □? Who else is experiencing these issues? Let’s raise some noise and force Steelseries to address them. Headphones frequently disconnect and reconnect (I’m only 6 feet away from the XSX) Headphones are often making a beeping sound (the kind of sound you often hear when you’re on a recorded line) When I turned off feedback it got even worse and my microphone was constantly cutting in and out at a frequency of multiple times in a sentence (maybe I need to adjust my threshold - I will try and report back) When I turn on mic feedback my friends hear an echo I’ve seen folks are having issues in other threads.
